Freshwater bathing in lakes
Halmstad is famous for its many beautiful beaches, but we also love our lakes. In fact, there are over 120 beautiful lakes to discover. We have selected six of our favorites that are perfect destinations for excursions. Several of them have lovely beaches, jetties, barbecue areas, walking trails and canoe rentals.
Further down on this page, you’ll find a map showing our bathing lakes. Most of the lakes are also excellent places for fishing. Read more about fishing waters in our fishing guide.

You can enjoy a U-shaped bathing jetty and a sandy beach. There is also a barbecue area and a restroom by the lake. The lake is close to the Halmstad Tönnersjö Golf Course, which makes it easy to cool off here after an enjoyable round of golf. Parking is available next to Lake Tostarpasjön.
