Lake Brearedssjön

Brearedssjön is the largest of Halmstad's official lakeside bathing areas. There is a lovely bathing inlet with a jetty, sandy beach, barbecue area, accessible restroom, and adjacent parking. Lake Toftasjön

Just 15 minutes from central Halmstad is the cozy little Lake Toftasjön. Here you have access to a beach, barbecue areas, a simple jetty, and a hiking trail around the lake. If you want to take a break from the beach and swimming, walking along the trail and exploring the Skedalaskog forest hiking area that borders Toftasjön is a perfect option. Lake Tostarpasjön

A little-known gem is the bucolic Lake Tostarpa. Here you can take a dip among fields, forests, and meadows. The small size of the lake means that it warms up quickly on a hot summer day. You can enjoy a U-shaped bathing jetty and a sandy beach. There is also a barbecue area and a restroom by the lake. Lake Gyltigesjön

In the legendary and scenic Simlångsdalen Valley, the Fylleån River has created a long, narrow lake system. North of Simlångsdalen, at Mahult, you will find Lake Gyltigesjön. There is a small beach and barbecue area here. If you would enjoy a walk, the bathing area is adjacent to the Gyltige hiking trails. Lake Torvsjön

A bit from Toftasjön is the larger Lake Torvsjön. Here you can enjoy swimming at small natural beaches and inlets around the lake. Torvsjön is part of Skedalaskog's forest hiking area. It’s a great idea to walk around Lake Torvsjön and stop now and then for a dip and a bite to eat at the cozy rest areas. The best place to park is at Skedala Forest's parking area. Korumpan beach at Lake Simlången

On the outskirts of Simlångsdalen Valley, you’ll also encounter Lake Simlången with a cozy little bathing area, popularly known as Korumpan. Here you can swim from the small beach and from the jetty.
