The seasonal shop is open in various periods throughout the year with plants that follow the seasons. Visit in spring and find your favorite shade of pansies, enjoy the wide range of perennials and annuals in the summer, or get into the yuletide spirit with seas of locally grown poinsettias and hyacinths in all sorts of colors!

Gerbianska Trädgården

At Gerbianska Trädgården (swe) External link, opens in new window. you can botanize and explore through hundreds of plants from the plant shop and nursery. The plant shop and nursery is located next to Vargaslätten and the Sigfrid Ericson Museum in Simlångsdalen. The nursery is run by the Dutch gardener Gerben Tjeerdsma, who has worked for 17 years at the Botanical Garden in Gothenburg. After 9 years at Råda Manor, he moved his nursery “Gerbianska Trädgården” to Vargaslätten in Simlångsdalen in 2019. Gerbianska Trädgården has varied hours of business and is often open even outside the opening hours of the museum and forest garden. You will find here unusual perennials, bulbs, shrubs and trees, many of which you have almost certainly never seen before!

Lovéns Handelsträdgård

Here you will find a wonderful selection of pansies, bulbs and other cold-hardy plants here in the springtime. From May onwards, the greenhouses are filled with summer flowers, annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs – most of them grown right on site. Towards autumn and the holiday season, the summer feeling is changed to autumn and yuletide feeling with flowers and clusters.

Bland Träd & Häck

Bamboos, conifers, perennials, fruit trees, bulbous and ornamental shrubs. Allow yourself to be by inspired colors, shapes, and plants that you never knew you wanted.

Susegård Gårdsförsäljning farm shop

In Onsjö, just north of Halmstad you will find Susegård. During the summer, don’t miss out on their wonderful sea of flowers spreading out over the fields. Bring your pruning shears, or secateurs if you are coming from England, and put together a colorful bouquet from the cutting gardens that you will never forget. Don’t miss the charming farm shop filled with organic KRAV-certified vegetables, potatoes and meat from the farm’s own animals, as well as other interesting products from other producers in Halland. If you need a rest, sit down in their small garden café and relax in the rural tranquility.

Slättåkra Närproducerat local food

A short distance outside Halmstad you will find Slättåkra Närproducerat local food, a farm shop run by four food producers from Halland, three farms and a micro-dairy. Molly, who runs the Lya Gård 101 farm, is passionate about farming of all kinds. In season, vegetables and herbs crowd the growing beds and the fields are filled with vibrant flowers. Here you can pick everything from stately sunflowers and dahlias to asters in a variety of colors. Don’t overlook the farm shop with vegetables, potatoes, ready-made bouquets, eggs, cheese and meat.
